My approach to Psychotherapy
I offer long and short-term psychotherapy and counselling. I practice integratively, which means I use different approaches to therapy, from psychodynamic to transpersonal, depending on what is most suited to your needs. My work is trauma-informed, and considers the impact of trauma on the nervous system.
The aim of psychotherapy is to help you face life's difficulties and to explore ways of dealing with them. Through crisis, we have the opportunity to grow and develop towards our full potential as human beings.
I believe that you hold the power to heal yourself and have the answers to your problems within you. Our work together will largely be based on finding these answers, whilst giving you the tools to deal with your inner and outer struggles.

It is ultimately in the relationship with the therapist, that the key to successful therapy lies, so choosing a therapist is an important decision.
Therefore I offer an initial assessment prior to an agreement to work together. Our initial consultation would consist of you telling me about yourself and the difficulties you are facing, and giving you an opportunity to ask me any questions you may have.
